*AUDIT* Whole Day Vocal Workshop with Jennifer Scott

If you would like to participate in the first hour and a half with Jennifer and audit (observe) the MasterClass portion with the trio, the cost is $27 (The morning session has no limit.)

The Vernon Jazz Society is thrilled to offer a rare opportunity for local singers to study with renowned jazz vocalist Jennifer Scott.
10-11:30 am
● Start the day with a Vocalists tool kit: techniques that will warm you up quickly, effectively and appropriately for the kind of music you like to sing.
● Learn some physical and vocal exercises; discuss questions you might have about your own personal approach to singing.
● Troubleshoot with individual attention to singer’s needs
● Review performance dynamics and practice some basics on counting in, communication with the band, etc.
1-3 pm
● Each singer will have a chance to perform a tune with drummer, Bernie Arai, bassist Rene Worst and vocalist/pianist Jennifer Scott!
● You will get feedback from all three musicians on your performance, focusing on how to interact with a professional trio.
● Develop your artistry and style with this performance opportunity in a safe and supportive environment.
Jennifer Scott, Rene Worst and Bernie Arai have worked with many singers in a performance, recording and professional development environment. All are skilled educators in demand at
music camps, festivals and academic settings.

Whether you are a working professional or almost a complete beginner, we’re confident that you will get something out of this exclusive workshop!

Enrollment is limited to 10 singers for the whole day including working with the trio. $70
