Eric St. Godard E4

May 17, 2025

Eric St. Godard has begun to make a name for himself as a band leader, solo artist, and composer in the Manitoba music scene.

Eric has been fortunate to work with some of the province’s top jazz musicians for various private and public events. Most notably, Eric has led groups that have played in the TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, and at Yardbird Suite in Edmonton, Canada. His newly formed quartet, The E4, will not stop short of having the most reputable jazz musicians in Manitoba to bring forth a powerful force to be reckoned with in the Manitoba and Canadian jazz scenes.

The music of The E4 aims to share captivating harmonies and highly melodic material that bring the essence of Bill Evans, while adding the exploratory and curious nature of the contemporary icons such as Herbie Hancock and Brad Mehldau. The Eric St. Godard E4 strives to keep elements from the traditions of the old and meld with the traditions of the new to create a fresh, exhilarating and truly distinct line in the lineage of the jazz art form.
