On Oct 23rd, Judy Rose returns to the Vernon Jazz Club with her Rhythm Rogues, to JuMp and sHouT with some R’nB.

The sure to sell out show will feature nuthin’ but a lot of good vibes with healthy doses of Stevie, Aretha and other R n’ B artists that will have to grooving with Neville Bowman on keys, Dave Chobot on bass, Loni Moger on guitar and Aaron Anderson on drums.

“We are in need of some joy right now and so we plan to bring it to the opening night at the Vernon Jazz Club says Judy speaking of the songs chosen for the evening.

On the piano is Rogue Neville Bowman who is another favourite VJS performer. A gifted musician, arranger and vocalist, as well as a first-call musician throughout the valley, he is a regular adjudicator and clinician at the BC Interior Jazz Festival, keeping him well-engaged in the Okanagan arts scene. Neville has performed with Judy in the many past iterations of shows she has done at the VJC.

On bass is Dave Chobot who hails from the Jack Semple Band and is very well known in the blues and R’n B world.  Dave recently moved to the Okanagan and was immediately embraced by the musical community due to his reputation as a fine musician and fantastic vocalist.  He has performed with Orchestral Rock Odyssey, ft. the Gary Cable Project & Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, and is currently performing with Aaron Anderson as part of The Goods

On guitar is the one and only Loni Moger, a talented and versatile musician who played his first professional gig at the age of fourteen and began teaching at the age of sixteen. Loni has performed alongside such international artists as “Bo Didley” and San Francisco’s “Tuck and Patti“; “Senator Tommy Banks” as well as local Calgary favorites “ The Swinging Bovines”, “Karl Roth” and former host of CBC radio’s “Tonic”, “Tim Tamashiro”.

Loni is equally at home in a wide variety of musical styles ranging from Blues to Jazz to Funk, Rhythm and Blues, Pop and Country and is in demand up and down the valley supporting various artists in their productions.

Rounding up the posse is Aaron Anderson on drums who has is own Drumming Academy (AA Drum School) and performs up and down the valley with various groups including The Goods and Darby Mill’s ‘Press Play’. Aaron has also done many Theatre Productions with New Vintage Theatre (Kelowna) and Big Apple Productions, including Jesus Christ Superstar and also drums with The Gary Cable Project.

With these formidable musicians and Judy’s powerful and captivating interpretations, fans are sure to be taken on a journey that will not soon be forgotten.
