Lust Life Jazz Band

September 30, 2023

Forged on the stages of Victoria’s best performance venues Lust Life is a modern jazz band, dedicated to honouring the music and making each piece of music they play memorable. Conceived as a classic Jazz Band in 1994, over the years their repertoire has morphed to include blues, funk, pop, and Latin music.  The band has often been featured in the Victoria International Jazz festival, was the resident performance group at the renowned Empress Hotel for years, and is made up of talented musicians who have played in some of the top bands and orchestras in Canada and the USA.
The stylings of Lust Life defy classical description. Their unique eclectic music choices paint a melliflous picture of west coast sound. Each member of the band brings a wealth of history and musical influences. Fused together, their synergy is greater than the sum of the parts. Sultry vocals, infectious grooves, and original improvisations create an exciting new concept in modern jazz.
