Montreal-based bassist Rémi-Jean LeBlanc’s latest project, HEYDAY, is a group consisting of 5 of Montreal’s most versatile and prolific musicians; Nadia Hawa Baldé on voice, Jérôme Beaulieu on keyboards, Kevin Warren on drums and Nicolas Ferron on guitar, and RJ LeBlanc on bass. The group has a wide range of influences hailing from post-rock to RnB and beyond while tastefully keeping the spirit of jazz as a common thread. It is an eclectic and highly energetic band that mixes finess and feel-good in a beautiful way.

RJ has been on the canadian music scene since the mid-2000s performing with jazz artists as diverse as Jean-Michel Pilc and Carol Welsman as well as with iconic rock bands like The Dears. He is on faculty at McGill University. HEYDAY is his 4th album and most ambitious thus far.
